I’ve seen all sorts of creative solutions for bridging this gap – from stretching the capabilities of Workday’s ๐๐ฏ ๐ต๐ฉ๐ฆ ๐๐ฐ๐ฃ ๐๐ณ๐ข๐ช๐ฏ๐ช๐ฏ๐จ lesson type beyond its intended use, to complex integrations with third party vendors paired with boomerang integrations on top of boomerang integrations.

In 2025R2, Workday enables users to create ๐๐๐ฌ๐๐ซ๐ฏ๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐๐ฅ ๐๐ก๐๐๐ค๐ฅ๐ข๐ฌ๐ญ๐ฌ. While the capability to distribute these checklists is not planned until 2026R1, this gives users about 6 months to build this library of checklists within Workday ahead of the rollout.
๐๐ก๐๐ญ ๐๐ง๐ก๐๐ง๐๐๐ฆ๐๐ง๐ญ๐ฌ ๐๐ซ๐ ๐ฒ๐จ๐ฎ ๐ก๐จ๐ฉ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐ญ๐จ ๐ฌ๐๐ ๐๐จ๐ซ ๐ญ๐ก๐ข๐ฌ ๐๐๐๐ญ๐ฎ๐ซ๐? Personally I’m hoping to see robust Assessor functionality, the ability to dynamically assign via Campaign, and the ability to set pass/fail thresholds for checklist completion.

Checklists can contain multiple sections and tasks
Important Considerations
Workday doesnโt yet support adding Observational Checklists as course lessons in learning content.
However, Workday plans to enable this in the future.
